Ed Archibald &#038; The Last Few</p>
<p>August 7th. 2010 from 7pm to 11pm. Back by over whelming popular demand is &#8220;Ed Archibald&#8221;. Ed is well known for his saxaphone playing and energetic sets with his group of friends called &#8220;The Last Few&#8221;. Ed has entertained his fans the last several years at The Riverfront Jazz and Blues Festival in Omaha. He has also played on the same stage as Marcus Johnson, Everette Harp,and Nelson Rangel. Other credits include opening for Kem, the legendary Al Green and being the featured artist with many national acts such as Lala Hathaway, Chaka Kahn, and Gail Johnson. Opening act this night is the Jazz group, &#8220;The Eclectic Connection&#8221;.</p>
<p>Be sure and bring your dancing shoes! A light buffet is also included in the ticket price of $25.</p>
<p>Tickets are available now at the Nebraska Club 20th Floor of the US Bank Building, 13th and M, Lincoln 402-476-3228 and at the door the day of the event</p>

<p><strong>Looking for an Executive Board member to serve as Treasurer</strong></p>
<p>Hey Smooth Jazz Members, Becky Berg resigned from the Board of Directors as Treasurer due to a heavy workload and other commitments.  We will miss her terribly and want to thank her for all of her hard work and dedication on the board.  She was extremely instrumental in helping us file our 501(c ) (3) paperwork to become a non- profit organization.  Now we have some big shoes to fill. </p>
<p>The Treasurer Job Description is as follows:</p>
<p>·         Manages finances of the organization<br />
·         Administrates fiscal matters of the organization<br />
·         Provides annual budget to the board for members’ approval<br />
·         Ensures development and board review of financial policies and procedures</p>

<p><strong>Enjoy The Last Few this Thursday, July 22nd at the Ozone! </strong></p>
<p>The Last Few is a original band from Omaha Ne. The band has played with multiple industry acts and concerts including Al Green, Tony Toni Tone, Carl Thomas, The Omaha Jazz and Blues Festival and many more. The Last Few plays all kinds of music including jazz, funk, soul, r&#038;b and neo soul. </p>
<p>They have an original album called The Soul Movement Vol. I and is in the process of recording a follow up album. The Last Few show consist of singers Dani Cleveland, Amir Alexander and Erawq, keyboardist Big Wade also with a solo album titled I Made It, Drummer Drew Brookins, Bass Greg Bowie and Sax Ed Archibald also with solo albums. Every member of The Last Few are Great artist on their own, so when they come together as a group it is a memerable experience for the crowd. </p>
<p>The Last Few has a very big following in Omaha Ne and neihboring states and also plays top 40 cover songs to appeal to the audience.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Jazz on the Vine at Soaring Wings Vineyard on July 3rd </strong> was a huge success and the national recording artists from Los Angeles were fantastic.  We can’t wait to get them back again.  Many thanks to our members and friends who came out to support us and also to our new VIP members.  Continued membership sales will allow us to keep these events going.
